Dognapping gangs targeting lone women as puppies are now worth more than drugs

Two women have reported separate incidents of suspected attempted dognappings, with one of them confronted by menacing men in a van

Lone women walking puppies are being targeted by organised crime gangs as the value of their animals soars in lockdown.

Pedigree breeds can fetch up to £3,500 on the black market as breeders struggle to keep up with demand.

Now people are being warned about walking pets alone in isolated spots after a series of attempted snatches last week.

    Why have admin stopped any commenting/ discussion on this post?
    This is such important information for people, especially older women like me, who have to walk their dogs alone. I’m an older woman and I have to walk my young rescue grey alone.
    If we can’t comment to help each other, then please post professional advice! It would be very helpful, as i for one am afraid out walking.
