Cops probe professional dog-sitter after FIVE pooches vanish on her watch near Tamworth

COPS are investigating a professional dog-sitter after FIVE pooches vanished on her watch.

The dog walker, told the distraught owners their pets ran off on Sunday after being spooked by a gunshot during walkies.

But the owners, who have been combing Hopwas Woods near Tamworth where the dogs disappeared have now reported them to cops as stolen or missing.

And West Midlands Police is appealing for leads on where the animals could be.

Yesterday the dog walker fled her home in Erdington, Birmingham, after refusing to answer the owners’ questions. She hung up on The Sun too.

The missing dogs are eight-year-old pug Pablo; half-blind pug Charlie, three; Jack Russell Maggie, six; five-year-old pug Ralph; and French Bulldog Brindle Jack, 18 months.

Jack’s owner James Egan, 60, who left him with Louise for the first time while he and his wife went away, said: “Something doesn’t sit right.

“Jack is the only one worth anything. We’ve looked at the CCTV where the dog walker said she parked but we can’t see her.

“The missus is crying all the time. It’s horrible.”

Pablo and Maggie’s owner Becky Parsons, 39, said: “This is my worst nightmare.

If she is innocent why is the ‘dog sitter’ not helping to find the dogs?

Dog sitting to steal and sell dogs is my guess.
I cringe every time I see someone asking can anyone look after my dog/dogs.
Why would anyone in their right mind have a stranger look after their dogs.
    Then go on holiday.
Face book is a good thing.
NOT I might add for dog sitting.
Come on people please find a good kennels for our beloved pets.
Don’t keep TRUSTING total strangers with YOUR best friend.
If you do you might regret doing it.

A very sad update this morning…all 5 dogs are deceased…Owners request that no one speculates or names people on Social media as it could impede the police investigation…And justice is needed to be done for these 5 dogs and their families.
