Cops probe professional dog-sitter after FIVE pooches vanish on her watch near Tamworth
COPS are investigating a professional dog-sitter after FIVE pooches vanished on her watch.
The dog walker, told the distraught owners their pets ran off on Sunday after being spooked by a gunshot during walkies.
But the owners, who have been combing Hopwas Woods near Tamworth where the dogs disappeared have now reported them to cops as stolen or missing.
And West Midlands Police is appealing for leads on where the animals could be.
Yesterday the dog walker fled her home in Erdington, Birmingham, after refusing to answer the owners’ questions. She hung up on The Sun too.
The missing dogs are eight-year-old pug Pablo; half-blind pug Charlie, three; Jack Russell Maggie, six; five-year-old pug Ralph; and French Bulldog Brindle Jack, 18 months.
CRYING ALL THE TIME
Jack’s owner James Egan, 60, who left him with Louise for the first time while he and his wife went away, said: “Something doesn’t sit right.
“Jack is the only one worth anything. We’ve looked at the CCTV where the dog walker said she parked but we can’t see her.
“The missus is crying all the time. It’s horrible.”
Pablo and Maggie’s owner Becky Parsons, 39, said: “This is my worst nightmare.
