Why working together is so important…Pablo’s story
On the 7th December Pablo went missing early morning from Wanstead Park. Owner was desperately out looking for him and at midday was advised by someone to put details on DogLost…
3 hours earlier members of Find and seek had come across another dog owner concerned about a loose dog and the team leapt into action and took him into “custody” They scanned the dog but as it was a Portuguese microchip were unable to get owners details…and could find no report on FB of a local missing dog.
Shelagh the founder of Find and seek checked DogLost regulary hoping that someone would have advised owner to put on our database…Then when she last checked ” ping” Pablo came up and her team were able to contact a very relieved owner with the news they had Pablo and he was safe and well!
Even though owner had not put up a photo or breed on the DogLost posting the colouring and location lost tied in with their found dog.
That is why we run a database and how important local groups are…It makes it worthwhile when groups check DogLost AND inform us when a dog is reunited so we can update.
This is just one of 100’s the team has helped reunite and as such The LICKS award was given yesterday ( details on yesterdays blog post).
