A toothless and almost hairless dog from Wales is officially the third ugliest dog in the world. Chase, a 14-year-old Chinese crested mix, who lives with his owner Storm Shayler, 49, in Cimla, won bronze in the 2017 World’s Ugliest Dog competition. She said: ‘You can’t get a better dog because absolutely nothing fazes him. ‘I have suffered PTSD, social anxiety and incredible insecurity where you’re always second guessing yourself, but having a dog with me always gave me little bit more confidence.’ Storm added that she often feels exhausted ‘putting on a happy front’ while doing everyday tasks. ‘If a sound, sight or smell brings back one of the traumas I’ve experienced and I’m out and I’ve got a dog, I can stop and cuddle a dog, talk to a dog and focus.’ The pet has a cataract and walks sideways like a crab
