Lola the black Labrador goes missing in Taplow with her muzzle on

There are growing concerns regarding the welfare of a dog after it went missing with its muzzle on.

Lola, the seven-year-old black Labrador from Taplow, went missing at around 7am on Wednesday, October 7 near Amerden Lakes and Jubilee River, which is behind the River Road towpath.

She was wearing a beige face muzzle to stop her from chasing deer, and she has been described as friendly and not dangerous.

Following the news of Lola’s disappearance, many residents in Marlow, Cookham and Bourne End have got together to try and find the lovable mutt, but to no avail.

Her owner is Jacquie Hughes.

Emma Pratt from Dog Finder said: “Despite exhaustive local searches with huge support from local people, thousands of social media posts, Lola even has her own Facebook group (www.facebook.com/groups/821405911930219).

“There have been no sightings at all.

“She was on a walk with her owners and another dog which also went missing, but she was found alone after an hour.

“It’s possible Lola is trapped somewhere – we would appeal to any ramblers, dog walkers, boat owners, joggers, and cyclists who are in the area to listen out for any unusual barking or whimpering and keep their eyes peeled for this beautiful dog.

“A substantial finder’s fee is available for info leading to her safe return.

“Her owners are heartbroken.”

Marlow resident Cheryl Ashby confirmed that Lola knows the area from the A4 across to the M4, and from the Jubilee River down to the River Thames.

She said: “Lola has a great sense of direction and has always found her way home effortlessly.

“She once came on a bike ride to Dorney Lake, got a bit bored, and decided to head home on her own.

Every day since Lola’s disappearance, many search parties have been carried out, however, there have been no sightings of her.
