Family’s heartbreak after beloved poodle is killed by two other dogs in ‘savage and frenzied attack’

Mr Biram, from Chaddesden, Derby, said: “I let Emma off the lead when there was nobody else about. Suddenly I heard a woman shouting and two great big dogs came running towards her.

“One viciously grabbed Emma by the neck and the other dog got her by the stomach. It was horrific. The woman was shouting to get her dogs off Emma. I tried to kick them but they would not let go, their grip was so strong. It was really serious and a brutal attack.

“I knew what was happening and I couldn’t do anything to get them off. It happened so quickly. I just went in to shock. I could not believe it.

“It was a frenzied and savage attack. Eventually one of the dogs let go and they went running to the woman. But the other only let go when Emma had died.”

The dad said the owner of the other dogs apologised and claimed her dogs “were her life”.

But Mr Biram’s family is hysterical

He said: “Emma was a massive part of our life. We’re so upset and heartbroken. We called the police and they have been to speak to us.

He continued: “I said ‘they’ve just killed my dog’ and I was very angry.

“Emma meant everything to us. She was our family dog and was so small. She wouldn’t hurt a fly. They just targeted her and ripped her apart.”
