
Couple spared jail for risking return of rabies in puppy-smuggling scandal
A couple who risked spreading rabies in Britain by importing thousands of potentially sick street dogs to sell as pets have been spared jail. Kennel owners Jodie Fairbrother, 40, and husband Paul, 50, took in 4,600 street dogs – many of which had not undergone the necessary medical checks – from Romania. Shocking footage taken as part of an undercover RSPCA probe into their business 4Paws showed scores of animals being kept in cramped, filthy kennels and cages with no access to food or water.

Firstly ,how could anybody be so stupid, obviously all about the £££ not the dogs . Secondly, they got no sentence. The whole process is unbelievable, imagine what could have happened !! Somebody penniless and starving would get more punishment for stealing a load of bread !!! Ridiculous.

4600 dogs yes 4600 dogs – all that suffering and all the money made from their suffering and the ………. legal system gives absolutely no punishment at alllllllllllllllll – no wonder there is more and more and more crimes against animals and people. ALL THE TIME AND MONEY USED BY THE WONDERFUL RSPCA – FOR WHAT? the law is unbelievably useless. worse crime in uk is fraud and robbery
