And volunteer of the week goes to…

DogLost helper Glynis!  For her outstanding work with reunited Gizmo and lady…Nominated by area co-ordinator Jan lancashire…
“I would like to nominate Glynis Rogers for Volunteer of the week. Glynis has been fantastic and gone above and beyond in helping to locate Lady and Gizmo Two missing Jack Russell Terriers from Banks near Southport. Glynis contacted me at the end of March asking if we  could help to find Lady and Gizmo of course I said Yes …only too happy to help. What an emotional journey it turned out to be.
I and none of the North West team had seen or heard about these two little ones missing…unusual as one of us will normally have been contacted. Glynis filled me in about on the story behind them going missing, from then on I was in daily contact with Glynis and owner Kath. The strength and Determination shown by these two ladies was absolutely amazing! I promised them both I would not stop helping until we got them home. All the hard work behind the scenes between Myself,CJ,Dog Wardens,Police,Rachel( Journalist-who got the story in the local paper ), Glynis and Kath paid off when we got the information needed to get these two much loved dogs home where they belong.”
And in an unusual step ( though thoroughly supported) DogLost helper Glynis wants to nominate Jan! in her words…
“I would like to counter nominate Jan Lancashire for her amazing determination and support over the past several weeks. I first spoke to Jan on the 28th March on seeking advice for registering 2 missing dogs. Jan struck me immediately as approachable, helpful and professional in her manner and I felt so relieved when she very quickly and naturally established the history and events surrounding the disappearance of the dogs and  shared the same principles,  values and non judgemental opinions as myself. I instinctively knew that I was in good hands and had found a genuine ally in Jan. From the outset Jan worked tirelessly (often to her own detriment) with endless hours of researching, interviewing of others and more especially ‘being there’ for Kath (the dogs owner) who was on such an emotional rollercoaster and desperate to find her dogs,  sharing in the frustrations along the way. In a nutshell, Jan is an absolutely amazing, resourceful, determined, genuine, caring and professional lady who is a legend in her own lifetime ❤❤”
Both ladies are camera shy so here are photos of the reunited dogs to enjoy !
